What is Stone2Ten? Stone2Ten is a ministry at New Albany First Church of the Nazarene for students in grades 6-12. We provide a fun and accepting atmoshere for students while assisting them in applying Biblical principles to their everyday lives.
Where does the name Stone2Ten come from? Our core verse is found in 1 Peter 2:10 which says, "But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God's instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted."
Students today face rejection all the time. Media and Hollywood tell them they have to look a certain way or wear certain clothes to be accepted. We strive to show the love of God to every student that enters through our door. We provided an atmosphere of acceptance where every student can be loved & be shown the love of God.
When does Stone2Ten meet? Christian Education - Sundays @ 9am - We meet in the "Lifehouse" next to the church. Breakfast is provided every morning until 9:20. Then we begin a time of discussion and teaching. Currently we are looking at 11 Core Foundational Truths.
Synergy - Wednesday nights @ 7pm - We meet in the gym for a time of worship, a revelant message, and a time of small group discussion. Students are split into four small groups including MS Girls, HS Girls, MS Guys, and HS Guys. |
